Wushu is not an official Olympic Sport and BOCOG received special permission from the IOC to run the tournament parallel to the Olympics in Beijing.

Indeed a Filipino won one of the events.

PHILIPPINES have not won any medals at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games. the medals which they won in wushu is only the demonstration sports & it is not recognized by IOC as the official sport at the Olympic Games.
