Did a guy really hang himself during the making of the Wizard of Oz movie?

c the reason i asked this question is because my cousin told me this and i wanted to know if it was true or not. so some one please tell me if this is true or not ok.

it is true cause i was watching the movie and my mom said that a guy hung himself but he made it look like a bird spreading its wings and my grandmother had old newspapers of it . so no its not a rumor .
