VR3 virtual reality sounds CD player and 6x9" speakers in back, and stock 6.5" speakers in front doors

i was listening to white girl by young jeezy, then go to sleep by eminem, both very bassy songs and my speakers HIT HARD...then i heard a rattle noise from all 4 speakers (tweeters in the dash have been blown, don't matter)

did i blow all 4 at the same time or did the wiring harness mess up somehow.

i wasnt playing my music any louder than usual (26/out of 39)

  1. Check the wiring, fuses, and maybe the amplifier itself is blown.  Here's one problem I always hear:  Many people overdrive their amps so that when they are listening to loud bass music, I hear a lot of buzzing.  It not only doesn't sound good, but it's hard on the equipment and hearing.   The person's amp is generating a square wave which holds the speaker's voice coils out for several seconds.

The sound you hear is not good deep or tight bass, but distortion, like a really loud kazoo.  Eventually this can overheat the voice coils in the speakers, or blow them.  So it is also possible you've blown all four speakers.  In some cases not enough power can blow speakers as well as too much power.  If your volume is cranked, and over driving the speakers with a weak amplifier, that could be the case too.

One way to check if it's the speakers is to take the grille off and press down on the cone.  If you feel and hear scraping,   the speaker is indeed shot.

  2. Hate to say it but most likely you did the total frequency had to be too HIGH!!!!!  Since you had stock in the system they can only carry so much freq.!!!  SORRY!!!
