Did alot of boxers grow while fighting like mohammed ali?

whe nhe versed sonny liston it says he was 6 foot 2

but hes like 6 4 now...so did boxers grow?

I read somewhere that Ali had a hernia while in training for the rematch against Liston, if you check the fight dates, you'll see that Ali was out of the ring for almost a year.  So when the hernia put him out of action, he had a growth spurt similar to how a gymnast starts to grow when he/she stops practicing.  When Monica Seles was stabbed and forced out of tennis, she grew 4 inches and was never the same.

Ali was 22 when he beat Liston and then was forced to stop boxing for a short time, you can see that he looks less like a kid in the rematch and more like the Ali we're most familiar with.  I know his body matured, and perhaps his height along with it.
