Did anoyone else think the writers took the night off last night?

Yes, all the main guys were in matches, but what weird opponents and results! Batista over BURCHILL? JBL crucifies NOBLE? Punk fights JERICHO and Y2J is not even in the title picture for the next PPV even though he won? D-LO gets an IC title shot in a match that ends absolutely pathetically? Batista runs in on Kane only to get quashed? Show preview says Stephanie and Shane are making a major announcement but they are nowhere to be seen and Adamle makes it? Last night was one of the worst-written show I ever saw. Anyone else agree?

it was nice to see noble in against JBL, even it it was a squash.  Burchill is a waste though.  The Punk/jericho match was awesome, and well booked.  Punk did not lose cleanly, but it built Jericho up for his feud with HBK...AND kept him in as a convincing main eventer for after the feud...AND built his heel persona up even better.  The IC match actually made me laugh.  I love the storyline with Beth as the guy of their relationship. It's funny and different.  It's nice to see another side of beth, and Santino is great with evrything they put him in.  Kane beating Tista up also bulit Kane's character up better.  well done.  I'll definitely give you the Shane and Stephanie point.  You are dead on right with that.  i don't get it.  and why discredit the tag champs by having ONE man beat them in Cena?  That was messed up also.  It wasn't the worst by any means, but some things were definitely off.
