Did any of you have a Echogenic Cardiac Focus/Bright Spot on the Heart in an ultrasound?

i am not sure if that is the same thing as what ruby had. she had a spot on her heart -- they told me it was a calcium spot. i have forgotten the medical term. i do know that the spot is associated with downs syndrome. anyway: it turned out to be nothing (and it was still visible right before birth) -- absolutely nothing. she is perfectly healthy and has been from day one. good luck!

edit: yup, same thing. i remember hearing "soft marker" so many times. i freaked out, anyway, and had an amnio. but keep in mind i was 36 at the time and highly neurotic. my doc wasn't worried about it at all.
