I am 14 weeks pregnant with my second child. Both of my doctors have said it is absolutely OK if I ride while pregnant. I am an experienced horse person and I ride sane and steady horses in an arena only. I am not showing yet, and aside from horrible morning sickness and fatigue I feel fine. I am curious if any of you rode while pregnant and how long?

  1. So no riding in cars, biking or walking on sidewalks on busy streets either? You could easily lose balance on a bike, fall while jogging, slip on steps, get hit while travelling in a car, the list goes on....my daughter is 18 weeks and still riding and has been given the go ahead to continue to do so until 28 weeks.  She only rides her most experienced and trusted horse and doesn't do more than a gentle lope and only in the arena.  What kind of doctor says that's OK?  A well respected and experienced doctor who realizes we all can't stop our lives and be wrapped in cotton wool and kept in a bubble for 9 months.
