Did any of you try acupucture to induce labour?

Question

Im 41weeks with no signs of baby being close. just wondering if any of you tried acupucture and weather or not it work?, im desperate too hurry up and have this baby naturally because i cant get induced medically for another 5days!

Aww I feel for you, my second daughter was 11 days past her due date and I would have given anything to have been able to have her.  As for your question.  Yes acupuncture can induce labor.  I have not had it done, but do know those who have had it and their acupuncturist told them they could have it done.  But they ended up a day or so early so didn't have to try.  I do also have other things that you can try.

Stimulating your nipples.  Take a warm shower and you or your significant other can stimulate them.  It produces a hormone that helps induce labor.

Aloe, rubbing aloe plant or lotion that is for sunburns (has aloe) can cause labor.  My girlfriend actually started having contractions early and the doc asked her if she was doing anything differently and she said she got a sunburn and rubbed the aloe on her and he said that was a no no tills he was closer to her due date.

s*x can help also, it stimulates the cervix.

If you look up holistic sites they can help a lot also.

my mother goes 4 acupuncture & when i hit 41 weeks, she offered 2 give it 2 me.  she told my mom that her dad did it 2 her when she was pregnant & the next day she went.  i had my membranes swept & the next day i went.  they tried 2 induce me 2times at 38 weeks & that didn't work.   membrane sweeps don't hurt as bad as people told me, much easier than induction!  good luck!!

Yes I did try it, but it did not work for me.  I was only able to get in one session though and my acupuncturist suggested that you have at least 2 sessions.  I do know people that had it done and they were in labor that night.  It is worth a shot.
