And did it work out.

My husband is 43,I'm 39 and we have been happily married 17+yrs.

I was 22 and he was 26 when we got married and we got married 10 months after meeting and yes everything worked out great.

We moved in together 3 months before we got married.

I was just curious about others thats all nothing more.

  1. We've been together 7 years and counting.

    He was 22

I had JUST turned 19 when I met him in January, we started dating in February, engaged in March and married in July!

We were VERY young. Not something I would recommend but it worked out for us. He's still the most amazing, interesting man I know and still my best friend. We don't even celebrate our July (marriage) anniversary. We celebrate the day we started being a couple in February. I am always looking forward to that day in Feb.

  2. I was 22, my wife was 24 when we met. We got married 2 years into our relationship (i proposed to her after 10 months and wanted to get married within the next 2 weeks, she didn't), she wanted to wait until she fgraduated medical school and i started my medical school internships (so i could do them all at her hospital).

  3. We were both 25. We met, dated, fell in love, got engaged, and married, all in 5 weeks. Still married after 42 yrs. We "just knew" it was right. We had both had serious relationships before, knew what we wanted, and knew when we found it. BTW, she proposed to me and we married 2 days later. The hard part came 36 yrs later when we tried to tell our daughter not to rush into marriage. lol

  4. I am now 21 I was 20 when I got married. We dated for 8months then got married a month later. He is currently deployed in Iraq and were doing great. If we can survive this we can pretty much survive anything. We are both mature and have good communication and we have learned the art of compromising. I have learned a lot from this site, it is important to stay in tune with your partners needs. Constant communication, trust, loyalty, and honesty make for a great starting foundation.

  5. I got married at 18 and about to get divorced. I have a bf who I love and plan to marry next year. Im 21 now and hes 26.

  6. lol...well my parents were in their early 30's when they got married.  Met in December, engaged in Feb...married in April!!!!

they celebrated 33 years this year.

So now that i am in my 30's, my parents can no longer give me c**p about getting too serious too soon when i am in a relationship!!!  :)

  7. I met my husband in January, 2007 and I was 22, he was 28. We got married in December. I think I should given it a bit more time instead of rushing down the isle and saying I do because once married I discovered many things about my husband (not all of which are all great) and also had to deal with temper. So, in my case it hasn't been a great experience.

  8. He lived in Michigan and I lived in Missouri when we met. After he moved to Missouri he moved in with me and we were engaged 5 months later and married 11 months after that. We are still married 6 years later but we have been separated for 4 months. He decided he was unhappy 2 kids later.

  9. yes i did and we are working well

  10. I am a "Short Brunette Wife" too!  My hubby and I married when I was 20 and he was 23.  We were engaged after 10 months of dating and ended up getting married 2 yrs after the day we met.  We are still together and have been married 4 yrs.
