Did anybody get married in their early 20's and only knew their spouse a yr or less when you got married?

And did it work out?

My husband is 43,im 39 and we have been happily married 17+yrs and everything has worked out great.

When we got married he was 26 and i was 22 and we had been together 10 months when we got married.

I was just curious about other people thats all nothing more.

I was 20 and my husband was 21 when we got married.

We met in March of 1970, double dated 2 or 3 times with another couple and then he moved back to Alberta where he was from.  I was in Ontario.  We corresponded until the end of September and then I went to Alberta and spent a week with him at his family home.  In February he came to Ontario for 4 days and stayed at my family home.  He flew back in July 1971 and we got married and he took me back to Alberta with him.  We had our first one on one date after we had been married 3 months!!

We were married for 28 yrs until he died from cancer 10 years ago and we had a great marriage!

My husband and I were together for less than 5 months when we got married. I was 18 and he was 23 people said we were crazy and we would be divorced in less than a yr.. Well we will celebrate our 10 yr anniversary this Oct. and have 3 great children I have to say he is my soul mate,
