Did anybody know the 22nd anniversary of Chernobyl is tomorrow?!?!?

I just found out about it yesterday and I cant believe I didnt know anything about it. I think its soo interesting and sad at the same time.

Do you remember what you were doing when you heard about that tragedy?    Rumors of a nuclear missile attack that misfired, Armageddon, stupid commies killing off prisoners....    A few years ago I read an article written by a woman who talked her way past the security gates and rode like llll through the contaminated zone taking pictures of what once was forest, farmland and a thriving city.   Creepy to think we have to power to make the whole world like that.

We should all be aware every single time this date comes around.  

For those who post that they don't care and happen to live in the US - Davis Bessie on Lake Erie has almost melted down 3 times in the past 5 or 6 years due to negligence.  

If everyone would take a moment and think what it would be like to have that happen in their backyards and be forced to leave your home and never return and not take anything with you?  Think of the mental devistation, let alone the financial.  And the health problems especially to the younger people... I think people tend to not care because it didn't happen in their back yard.  

I am not against new nuclear power plants, I am just an advocate that if we build new ones, they need to be safer.  

I am glad they are restructuring the building over Cheryobyl.  It's been leaking radiation ever since and is extremely weak.

No, I didn't realize it. It was very sad. Did you know another word for Chernobyl is Wormwood. An interesting fact, I think, anyway. The word Wormwood is found in The Bible, in Revelation!!!
