Did anybody really watch Reverend Wrights speech?

Does anybody else think they blew it a little out of proportion? He didn't really "d**n" America like the media tells us. Please go back and watch the real video and let me know if you agree. I'm wondering if I'm downplaying the situation.

  2. I believe that he said it the way it is perceived.  You are correct in stating that is was implied that He would d**n America, but the reasoning behind the rant is still unpatriotic.  He goes on to say that phrase due to the oppression of blacks, the japanese, and indians, with the emphasis on the blacks.  He is anti-republican, which is fine for a personal belief but shouldn't be taught in a church, and he is blaming America for where blacks stand today in this great nation,( despite the fact that we have a black man running for POTUS).  In my opinion, he really did get carried away and seemed to sway from the teachings of the Bible and focussed more his personal views on the politics of a nation.

  3. yes i watched it.  and you're so wrong it is un-fecking-believable.  you MUST be funning us.

  4. The people closely watching the speeches are Obama's opponents.

    Hillary's team first now McCain's.

If anything; Obama is getting a pass.

If a conservative Republican had been present for twenty years of speeches like that then they would have been crucified.

They have attacked Republicans because they merely thought that their ministers held racist video. They have video evidence here.

I have seen the speeched, Obama is lucky the media is behind him.

If they would have latched on to Hillary or McCain then he would be over.

  5. ummm...yes he did.
