Did anybody see how Nadal crushed Murray? Did anybody see how Murray was "forced" to make "unforced errors"?

Same Murray who played brilliantly against Gasquet could not stand up to Nadal. Why? because you can only play as much as the opposition allows you to.It's usually players' "off days" whenever they meet Nadal because they are forced to make errors(so called "unforced errors").They know that their shots must frequently clip the lines to have a chance of beating Nadal.Anything short of that will be returned with interest. In an attempt to hit the lines against Nadal most players overplay their shots either wide or long. What Murray counted as winners were returned as passing shots from Nadal, constantly! Even cheap overheads were pitifully blown by Murray.Re-watch this match and observe the trajectory of Nadal's approach shots.Simply awesome! Nadal's balls are highly spun, they kick all over the court and they are generally agitated in motion. Many players, including Federer, have problems containing his shots and that's why they have so high unforced errors rate against him.

  1. Rafa played very well today. I hope he continues his winning streak and finally wins Wimbledon this year!

  2. I did not see Nadal today, but man is he fun to watch, especially against Federer.  These two guys are giving the sport what it needs to really gather a much larger following abroad and in America.

  3. Yes i did :) Rafa is looking in great form :P I hope he continues at this level he`ll have a great chance to win wimbledon this year !!!

    Vamos Rafa x*x

  4. Nadal crushed him.  He is simply in a different league than Murray and will be for some time.

  5. You cannot force someone to make unforced errors, those are called forced errors.  These are caused by being unable to control the shot your opponent hit.  But when the opponent goes for too much on their shot and had time to set up yet makes an error, then that falls under unforced errors.  :)

  6. Yup. Rafa says he played his best Wimbledon match today. I think he'll do well. He causes many of his opponents to hit unforced errors. He did great today, and I hope that he continues to do so well and go on to win this Wimbledon and many more to come!!

    Vamos, Rafa!

  7. Yes, I did. And, God, this man played an unbelievable tennis... I can't wait to see him holding the trophy, and setting the history to be the first player to win RG and Wimbledon back to back since Borg in 1980. Go Nadal!

  8. Yes! Wasn't Nadal brilliant? I like both Nadal and Federer, but I would really like to see Nadal win Wimbledon this time!!! How about you? They are both great, and since America's greats in Sampras and Agassi are retired, there really is no one of the same caliber.  So... go for it Nadal!!!!
