Did anybody see the SF fans welcome back Barry Cheater Bonds ?

I don't think people dislike Barry Bonds for taking HGH or steroids . I think the dislike stems from him just being a jerk. So when he actually came out to today it showed respect for the fans. And he has never really been charged with taking any drugs. Just allegations.

Actually it's Barry Lamar Bonds. Plus, San Francisco is a city. Also, we cheer for good sports players ie Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey...etc.

if by cheater you mean he used steroids then you really shouldn't cheer for any pro baseball team they all have at-least one player who has done steroids

I dont recall Bonds being in trouble for using steroids,there were not any rules against it in baseball at the time he did.I beleive he is in trouble for lying to a grand jury under oath.If Bonds is a cheater then so is all of our baseball heros.They all use amphedemines.I am sorry to break your heart but all baseball players have used some kind of enhancers past and current.It just so happens our era used steroids.

Steroids or not, Barry Bonds was a great player with power. I guess people like you just target Bonds when Clemens and others were actually found guilty.

Although Barry Bonds *most likely* used steroids that does not make him a bad person no matter what people say. If someone makes a mistake in life or even makes that mistake multiple times does that condemn them to be hated and publicly disgraced? Yes Barry Bonds may have done steroids but that means he made bad choices not particularly making him a bad person.

When the SF Giant fans cheered him they were cheering for one of their greatest outfielders of all time, not for a guy that used steroids. They were cheering for a 15 year member of their team, not someone who has received horrible media attention for his bad choices. So when they welcomed him back they welcomed him back because he was a part of their history
