Afterall they did when 26 of 36 races, anyone think they had a HP advantage??

I dont recall hearing any of the complaints. Now all of a sudden Joe Gibbs Racing is competitive and the conspiracy theorists are running rampant. You guys know if you take Kyles 7 wins away, Toyota is at the bottom of the barrell like last season. Ever thought to give Kyle more credit than that or are you still waiting for NASCAR to cater to Chevy like last season.

Anyone think Chevy had an HP advantage last season, I mean after all they dominated much moreso than Kyle Busch and Toyota has this season right? Also where can I buy some of that haterade?

  1. Yep.

  2. Yes people did complain last year. PLENTY. If you stop ranting for a moment and check out the results this year you'd notice that there are more than 2 manufacturers in the cup. The parity you speak of probably doesn't seem so evident to the Ford fans. And no, I have no problems giving Kyle Busch credit for his wins. He's a great wheel man on a great team and having a great season.

So much angst...............   I suggest you put the haterade down and try some calming tea.

PS: What does this have to do with sexism anyway??? lol

  3. I don't recall anyone saying Chevy's had more HP.

But there were alot of people complaining about the HMS dominance.

There was a team a few years back that people were complaining about having more HP, can't recall which team it was though..

  4. The silence deafening!

  5. Yes. The Ford and the Dodge people.

Toyota wasn't important until the Kyle Busch Era

  6. Why would people complain about Chevy? I mean Chevy fans are the ones complaining about Toyota because they are stuck in their own little world and think Chevy is king.

Hey HOFFMAN where is your data from NASCAR that shows Toyota has a horsepower advantage in the SPRINT CUP series? I would like to see official documentation from NASCAR and then maybe I will value you your opinion more. Until then, I just can't believe how NASCAR gave Chevy an advantage last year. Why didn't they level the playing field then? Maybe there was no advantage other than the drivers maybe?

  7. Not Chevy specifically, but there were a lot of complaints and conspiracy theories about the Hendricks advantage last year.

  8. For god's sake ur a r****d. Do u ever watch Speed? Watch a show from them and they will look straight at the camera and tell u toyota has a horsepower advantage.

  9. True-true -true.Gordon and chevy winning and it was great.Jimmie J winning Great.Busch winning-He's cheating.

    Same SXXt different driver.

  10. thats true im a chevy fan and thats a good point

  11. Actually, alot of people in NASCAR complained. h**l, that is what NASCAR team owners do best when things arent going their way. You dont remember Jack Roush bi***ing up a storm for the first half of the year about how Chevy is killing them?

It isnt just about Kyle's 7 wins. It is the fact that Toyota went from running like dog c**p all year last year, to having 3 out of the top 5 in laps led so far this year. So, taking those 7 wins away would not put Toyota at the bottom of the barrel.

Dont get me wrong, if you havent noticed by now, I am not a fan of Toyota. However, I cant take anything away from the fact that they have done their research and brought their engine program to a level above any of the other manufacturers so far this year. You cant penalize Toyota for putting their best possible product out there on the track for their drivers to race with. It all comes down to NASCAR's competition committee to do their jobs. Just as it has been done in the past, when a certain manufacturer goes on a run, like Toyotas been on this year, they will find out what they need to do to even the playing field. I will be shocked if sometime in the next 3-4 races, we dont hear of a rules change that will benefit the other 3 manufacturers.

So, stop making this all about Kyle Busch. The guy stepped into a perfect storm this year. He left a team where he wasnt wanted anymore, went to a team that was moving to be the primary team for a new manufacturer who was willing to put forth the time, effort and money to make themselves a force to be reckoned with, and has the talent to put all of that to good use. It is now NASCAR's turn to even out the playing field a little...

  12. I don't think people complain about the car type. I think they complain about who wins. Hope this helps.

  13. haven't i, and many other more knowledgable people than me (like dave despain) been saying the same thing for months? i don't know if it was horsepower that fueled their dominance or just building better cars, better teams, and better drivers...

good luck on convincing the haters and the xenophobes. and great job on being the first person (besides me) that i've seen spell parity correctly... i'm sure there have been others (so others, please don't take offense), you're just the first i've seen.

    ;-)

  14. No one complained, as far as I know. Wierd how when Toyota wins a race they all of a sudden have paid off NASCAR. Remember JGR was using Chevy's last season, and Toyota had no good team. It was their first year in cup as well.

  15. Wow, they sure did.  Your account is only from this June, last year it was the same sort of stuff in here but it was directed at HMS and Chevy instead of JGR and Toyota.  Last year they dynoed engines after half the races, or something like that, and reported the numbers.  Where is that information THIS year and why is NASCAR seeming to sweep this whole issue under the rug?

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  16. chevy is AMERICAN its good if they dominated and JR!!

  17. I always hate when a Chevy wins. Dodge and Toyota are OK but I'd be happy if Chevy never wins another race. Doesn't do much good to complain though.

  18. Last year Toyota,Ford and Dodge complained. It happens all the time. One make gets a hold of something and the others complain. last year Chevy had the advantage. Why? Because they found it. This year it's Toyota. Years back it was Ford. If anyone should be complaining it's Dodge they can't seem to find anything right. By the way Chevy is working on a new engine so look out.

  19. No

    I respect Chevy.

Toyota not so much seeing that most of the wins came from JGR drivers...especially KYLE BUSCH!!!!!

I want to see a Red Bull or MWR driver win.
