Did anyone conceive and carried to full term after miscarriaging their first pregnancy?

I just recently had a dramatic natural miscarriage at 8 weeks. It was painful (emotionally and physically), I am still spotting from it but the doctor said it was a complete miscarriage. This was my first pregnancy. It was unplanned but now my hubby and I want a child knowing how great it felt. Our heats were crushed when I miscarried.

We are planning to try after I get my period back. My question is did anyone's first pregnancy end in a miscarriage and went on to have healthy pregnancies?

Yep, I got prego the month after I got period again...I have identical twin that I carried to 37 1/2 weeks....

Yes, I had a miscarriage when I was 18.  Then I carried my oldest child to full term.  Then I had another miscarriage, then another healthy pregnancy.  Then yet a 3rd miscarriage, followed by a full -term pregnancy.  

I know all too well exactly how you feel.  As you can see, I had 3 miscarriages & three very healthy pregnancies.  My children are now 14, 12, & 9.  Being pregnant is such a wonderful experience and I'm sure you'll get to experience it again.  Check with your doctor to see exactly how long you should wait before trying again. Yes well not me personally i know someone who had 2 miscarrages and had a child the 3rd pregnancy. None of the pregs were planned so she didnt really have medical care until the last but unfortunatily she had a really hard pregnancy and stayed in the hospital : ( but she did have a healthy baby boy : )

I had a miscarriage at 5w5d back in April.  I'm now 5w1d pregnant and hopefully will go to full-term!  We've been trying to concieve since Jan this year.

Yes, and I can't tell you how sorry I am. I do know exactly how you feel. I lost a baby at 24 weeks..No explanations. it does happen frequently though. We all just don't like to talk about it because it is such an emotional ride. I have had 3 health pregnancy in-between there so don't fret..You can do get pregnant and carry full term. Good luck

YES!!! Definately!!! I miscarried in November of '07 and got pregnant again in December of '07. I'm due on Saturday with my baby girl. I am so sorry for your loss, I know it hurts so badly, my first pregnancy was unexpected, too. It sucks to lose something that you didn't even know you wanted until it was there, because even after just a few weeks it's like it's a part of you and your life. You spend the time thinking about how it will be to be a mother, and it's heartbreaking to have it taken away from you. But just take comfort in the fact that most miscarriages are one time occurances and are a completely random thing. I hope you get your healthy baby soon!
