Did anyone drown in the dead sea?

Is there an incident where by someone drowned instead of float in the dead sea?

No, because it sea contains a lot of salt content. Nobody drowns in that water, they just float.

I don't know of any such incident but there were people who drowned in the Great Salt Lake. Just because the body floats in highly saline water does not mean that the entire body is out of water. The victims crashed a plane in the middle of the lake and tried to swim out. Very difficult because you have to work to get your hands and feet into the water. They exhausted themselves and didn't roll over on their backs to rest. The weight of their heads was enough to keep their faces submerged.
