Did anyone else cry when their hamster died?

Question

I did. I was so attached to my little friend I bawled my eyes out the night he died. Some people will buy like a whole bunch of hamsters and just accept it when one of them dies, but with this one he was such a special pet. Come on, anyone else get close to their hamster and got upset when it died?

Yes! I cried when my hamster passed away. I was so sad for weeks. I'm so sorry about your hamster I hope you feel better. Sometimes I still feel sad and it has been a year. I even cried when my goldfish died...

I was really upset when my hamsters and gerbils died, but I didn't cry as far as I can remember. I did cry when we needed to put my last dog to sleep, he devoloped a heart problem which was causing his lungs to fill with fluids and it was causing him so much pain and suffering. I still cry when I think of him, he was nearly 16 years old and I was in the room holding him when the vet gave him the shots.

you just have to realize that it is a part of life and that he lived his lif good and hapy and now he is in a better place

I cry whenever any of my friends die.  Then I remember the pain I feel is my own selfishness not willing to let them go... of course I won't get into the differences of religions here.

I still cry when I think about my dog that died four years ago. I never had a hamster. I did have a feral guinea pig but he bit me when I was two and made me bleed then just ran out the front door never to return. I did cry a little.

same as you i bawled my eyes out, but for days. I think its horrible losing a pet. even when my fish die i cry, i just get so attached to any animal i have.

YEAH, when i was really really young my cat got ahold of my hampster tuffy and killed him so i cried for days

Yes. My hamster(her name was hammy) escaped from her cage and fell into a pitcher of water and drowned :'-(. My bf dug a grave for her and put her in a candy box with brightly colored flowers. I still miss her. Now I have 2 hamsters(snowball, n lucifer), 1 mouse(daisy) and a rat(sugar).

I haven't had a hampster..but I had a rabbit that was my 1st pet. He was my best friend and I loved him SO much! He died so unexpectedly 3 years ago and what's worse is that he died on my birthday!!! I made a memorial thingo about him in my room and it's still there! Never be ashamed of crying from a pet dying...!!! Hope you're feeling better. :)

i cried when my hamster died because ive had it for 5 years but i cried about it for days and i cried at school and i got laughed at. but that was in 6th grade.

im in 9th grade now but i still get sad if one of my pets have died. i just try and move on...
