Did anyone else have something awful happen on Christmas?

a couple of years ago my uncle died on Christmas Eve, and in 1995, I was in the hospital for three weeks, inclusive of Christmas. Has anyone else out there had anything similar happen?

Well, it wasn't on Christmas, but two days after Thanksgiving my friend was murdered.  Because of the delicate situation and who her father was, the press bothered us for interviews - local newspapers, national tv stations, Dateline, 20/20, 48 hours (barf, I HATE them), the British press... and we thought we'd at least have Christmas with no phone ringing, but - sure enough - they called on Christmas morning for interviews!

That didn't just happen once, either.  The next year they did a 'follow up' story and suddenly they called a year later for ANOTHER interview on Christmas Eve.  My family kind of told them off....
