Did anyone else hear a big boom in the early morning around 2am..can anyone explain what it was?

I live in Dagenham in Essex...the sound didnt sound like thunder at all more like an explosion... it might have been that i haven't been that close to a bolt of lightning but as i said it did not sound nothing like it.

No, I was dead to the world until my alarm went off at 4am and then I was all confused because I was facing the wrong way... d**n my early starts.

It depends where you are. It could of been an earthquake or thunder ar maybe a sonic boom.

Can't of been that loud I didn't hear it.  But then as we have no clue to your location we could be on different sides of the planet.

Oh my gosh yeah i did hear a massive boom. It kind of echoed, like a deep sound.  Then i turned round saw my husband smirking and then the smell hit me................................. NICE
