their acting like babies (well Vickers mainly in my opininion)

He said that thing about Mark Martin cost him the win but I just don't see how he was right there and he didn't pass the cars in front of him so. . .

Am I the only one annoyed by this dude? Or does he need to shut up and get over it b/c that's what I think he needs to do =)

he had like three or four complaints in that freakin article he's just being a sore loser

  1. yep, he couldn't even pass matt kenseth or kasey kahne in those last few laps, and junior was leaving both of them in dust. i'd love to know how he figured he was going to get by junior. just sour grapes

  2. In my opinion the haters and the drivers (vickers etc) need to get over and move on theres a race this weekend they need to worry about and not what's already done!! I'm with ya on everyone shutting up and getting over it, it's done, and over Jr won finally and us Jr fans got to celebrate which has been a long time coming and most of us are good fans that give respect when other drivers win so I think it's time for us to get a little respect and everyone find something else to talk about and try to get along!!

and to greg111....Jr never cried about losing or did he blame anyone else for him not winning so stop stirring up c**p that you know isn't true!!

  3. NASCAR did fix that race for Earnhardt. He broke so many rules. So Brian Vickers and Matt Kenseth do have a reason to complain. Vickers is not a cry baby, he is just the only driver man enough to speak up.

  4. I have no place talking about drivers who are sore losers.

  5. Matty is not acting like a baby he has the right to wonder why Jr got too pass the pace car

  6. When you get shafted like he did and emerge the "bigger person" then your post will hold water.  Until then, Vickers has EVERY right in the world to complain.  And, who are you to predict the outcome?  Did NASCAR notify you of their intentions to fix the race?

  7. Nascar threatened him with a black flag for no reason so they could get their poster boy back in victory lane. Vickers has every right to complain.

  8. The video link was pretty conclusive.

No one was going to catch the 88 car much less pass it, including Vickers.

Kenseth is smart enough to know, maybe, he's been around long enough to know "passes" are scored at the Start/Finish line.

Ergo, the proper question from a well prepared reporter to Kenseth would have been, "Was Earnhardt in front of the pace car at the line?"

If he wasn't, then in NASCAR, he didn't pass it.

At which point, Kenseth slaps forehead and mubbles something like DUH!

Stranger things have happened with pace cars.

Years ago when cautions split the field at Bristol and before speed limits on pit road, the guys pitting on the front would blast down pit road while those pitting on the back were stuck behind the pace car. The back pit entrance was on the back off turn 2.

If a car worked into the top ten but was pitting on the back, he could lose plenty of positions cruising behind the pace car.

After watching it happen a couple times, Dale Earnhardt complained to NASCAR, wanting the pace car to speed up after dropping off the front pit guys.

Getting no response, Earnhardt told Childress he'd speed him up. He got on the pace car's bumper and pushed it so he could get on pit road faster.

Earnhardt didn't go crying to the media when something bugged him.

As expected, everyone behind him appreciated it while some guys pitting on the front stretch felt like he'd broken rule or something.

Turns out there was no rule about pushing the pace car, up till then. Maybe there still is no rule against it. We won't know until someone has the balls to do it again and finds it necessary.

  9. I think it is hilarious because it is just karma....remember the wrecking of teammate Johnson and Jr. on the last lap of the UAW-Ford 500 at Talladega in 2006? life's a b*tch, ain't it?

  10. he is crying like jr did the last 2 years always someone elses fault he couldnt win

  11. The race was not fixed it was just manipulated to give Jr. an edge!

And to Crunch... Passes are not scored at the start/finish line NASCAR has sensors ALL around the track. Passes are made as they go past a scoring loop.

  12. So apparently i should be more pissed than Vickers and Kenseth fans, cuz my driver shoulda won the d**n race!! For !@#$ sakes Nascar!!

    Go Kasey Go!!

    # 9 all the way baaaby!!

  13. I agree with you they both just need to stop complaining. If either one of them had passed the pace car they wouldn't be questioning it. They should just stop because they both got top 5 finishes and more points then the people behind them. Yes they didn't get as many points as Jr. or Kahne but still. I don't think the thing with Martin cost Vickers the race. He would have had to get around Kahne to get to Jr. and Kahne's car was better at the end then it had been all day. So it would have been tough.

  14. Yes Vickers is a baby  numer 1 and number 2 he is just mad that Dale Jr won in the Amp Energy Car and he didn't in the Red Bull Car

  15. He is not whining. He is telling the truth. NASCAR threatened to black flag him for passing a car well before the caution (almost a full lap). In what situation is that illegal?

You probably think he needs to shut up because you know he has a point.

He was not the only driver upset with the way things happened at the end, so were Kenseth, Kahne, and Tony Stewart, and they made it known as well.

He made a point, and NASCAR made a dumb call by threatening to penalize him.

Do you want all the drivers to be robots? I am not the worlds biggest fan of Tony Stewart, but I love watching his interviews because you know he is going to speak what he really feels. I actually think Brian held back some of what he felt due to the meeting NASCAR had earlier in the week.

He was not whining at all, wouldn't you be upset if you were in his shoes and got put in a position you weren't supposed with 2 laps to go?

  16. Vickers is a punk if you ask me.  His only win came when he wrecked out his teammate (and Jr) at Talladega.  He's a little too cocky for my tastes.

I think he and Kenseth were talking in the heat of the moment...right after the race.  You know...the same excuse the Busch fans give for his ridiculous comments after a race..
