  1. post a link to back up your claim

    dailykos...lol!!!!

  2. link please

  3. You forgot to mention the completion of $5,000,000 worth of construction for the program.  You should do better research.  The current budgets are for operating expenses only.

  4. yes. It's a fact that she did. She also denied funding for pregnant teens who don't have a home. Lucky she can afford to buy a home for her pregnant teen.

  5. A very hypocritical one.

  6. was that before she had one of her own?

it may be utterly sad but utterly true

  7. Ms Palin said that special needs parents would have a friend in the White House... not that there's be any $$.

  8. Well she also cut funding to give job training to young single moms by over $1 million dollars.

But as we know, when she was mayor, she found $15 million to build a hockey rink and put Wasilla into long term debt.

She said the only difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom was lipstick.  Now what is it you call a female dog again?

  9. Cutting a budget is not always a bad thing.  Get the facts and see what that 62% cut of the budget included.  In my state every special needs student is entitled to a laptop computer and other items while the regular students can't even get an up to date textbook.  When over 20% of the school budget is spent on special needs for small fraction of the student population, who suffers more, the vast majority of students or the much smaller group of special needs children.  Just a thought.

  10. I read the same source.

    She's a liar.

No worry.  She won't last very long.  I expect her downfall will start right after the convention when she starts facing the media.  Woww.. that would be nice to see.  Did you know that she was barred from facing the media by her surrogatesuntil after the convention????

Barack Obama will the next President of the United States.

  11. Why do people complain about things without caring about the reasoning behind it?

So you're so desperate now that you're claiming that a woman with a down's syndrome child is somehow against funding special needs children? How utterly sad.

  12. The following programs are included within this component:

       Special Education Service Agency (SESA)

The Annual budget for 2007, which preceded Gov. Palin was $8,265,300.

       http://www.gov.state.ak.us/...

The Annual budget for 2008, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.

       http://www.gov.state.ak.us/...

The Annual budget for 2009, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.

       http://www.gov.state.ak.us/...

This is a cut in special needs services to children in Alaska of 5,109,300 , or 62%.

So, as the Alaska State Budget description states, "Without the supplementary services the child’s needs would not be met by the local school district in most cases."

Did 62% of all of the special needs children in Alaska stop having needs once Gov. Palin took office?

Before we get so excited about Gov. Palin bring her "Reformer" agenda to Washington, perhaps we should get to know a little more about what exactly that means to our children, and the opportunities that she would "Reform".
