Did anyone else think Kerry's speech captured the 'problem' with McCain?

His comparison with "senator McCain", the true maverick whom Kerry respected (as did I) versus the "candidate McCain" who employs Rove's team of smear tactics, and contradicts so many other statements. The truth is, when McCain won the primary I was going to vote for him. And then I noticed that "candidate McCain" is an ***hole. :o But hey, he tried it the 'straight talk' way eight years ago as Bush/Rove railroaded him- and it didn't work. Who can blame him? But still.. Kerry gave a speech that hit it on the mark- if only he could have done that four years ago.

  1. Joe M: Agreed.

  2. You are so right! I liked his speech alot, and I thought he made alot of great points.

  3. The forum at the Saddleback Church highlighted the problem.McCain related to the crowd better, because he shamelessly pandered to them. He gave bumper-sticker answers while Obama actually put thought into his responses.

  4. do you really think mccain is good? i think he sucks and hope obama beats him!! if you disagree you should go vote for mccain on this site..

  5. Kerry's speech captured the problem with the Radical Right Wingers in general.

They will use anybody they can for as much as they can and turn on them in a heartbeat.

Kerry is a real war hero.

He was crucial in ending the failed Vietnam war and has worked to end Bush's failed war in Iraq.

If only he was elected 4 years ago (and he may have been, but we'll never know without a paper trail in Ohio), America would be a prosperous and well respected country right now.

McSame has voted in lock-step with Bush to the detriment of America.

He wants to continue Bush's failed economic and foreign policies for the next 100 years.

He's just another party hack out to satisfy his big special interest donors.

America is due for a change.

We've earned it after 8 years of Bush's failures.
