Did anyone else think the earthquake last night in lincolnshire was ghosts shaking the house?

we have had a few bumps in the night lately and don't really believe in this jinkd of stuff, so when last nights quake woke us we thought that was going to be the last straw and that we would have to move.

  1. I had a mug of coffee next to me at 1am. it started shake, it was a bit like that scene from Jurassic Park with the glass of water..

  4. i thought it was my partner messing about with the bed,until he said that the shakes had nothing to do with him,then i thought it was a ghost lol until we heard the radio

  6. lol my 8 year old son thought the same, hes was still going on this morning saying theres no way im sleeping in my bed again luckily the news convinced him it was just an earthquake

    im from west yorkshire and i'd just nodded off to sleep, it woke up and thought there was a ghost under my bed shaking it!! then thought i musta dreamt it because thats a crazy thing lol , but then i saw the news this morning!

    i kinda wish i was abit more awake to have actauly felt it proper, its not everyday u feel an earthquake..lets hope not anyway!

  9. We put Sky News on right away and when nothing was reported, I thought maybe there'd been an explosion.  Then, maybe a plane crash.  Then I thought, what if someone's garden's caved into a mine.

    I then thought what about a paranormal experience, just as they started reporting it on TV.

    I'm too impatient, and very imaginative lolol.

  10. Im up in greater manchester for the week looking after my new mum with 6 puppies!

    Been up for about 37 hours..Was just about to lay down to have a rest, and bam! The whole house shook for about 5/10 seconds.. I was in disbelief and thought I was going nutts.. lol It didnt quite register till I looked on the news!! Im still amazed, my first earthquake!... sounds silly, but i want another one! (not a big one tho..) hehe

  11. No, the bumps I heard I thought it was the cats playing up (that's how unimpressive I found it) I live in Hull and didn't have a clue until I put on Yahoo this morning - and then heard people talking saying they had heard bumps, bangs etc.

  14. I live in Lincolnshire,and was on the loo when it happened!I thiught it was a helicopter overhead(very low),the whole house shook,there was a noise like a freight train and the lights flickered.Very scary.
