  1. it sure looked that way.

  2. It probably was, it's all BS.

  3. FIXED!

    Thompson was MANHANDLING Kimbo!

I feel bad for Thompson! He won that fight!

  4. Everything is fixed!!!  It's what makes the world go 'round.

  5. Oh h**l yeah. Kimbo took 19 elbows to the head while he was pressed against the cage. And he wasnt defending any of that. WTH? If it was the other way around or if it was the UFC. The ref would of stopped this fight. In my opinion, Thompson should of won & did win this fight. Kimbo seems like he doesnt have any ground game. That is why he got pounded in the 2nd round.

  6. Yes

  7. ABSOLUTELY!!

First, they put Kimbo against a so-so fighter, but more shocking to me was the fact that the guy looked like he was holding back.  He passed up the chance to take full mount on 2 occasions & was definately holding back with the elbows & hammer fists when on top of Kimbo.

    Bad for the sport.

  8. I have watched a number of MMA bouts, and I saw all 3 rounds of this one. While I thought the stoppage might have been a little premature, I also wasn't in the ring in the position the ref was. It wasn't the popped ear that stopped the fight. It was one of the follow up punches that literally buckled his knees. I think the ref saw this guy was lights out on his feet and made a gut decision to protect the fighter. To be honest, I thought ALL the stoppages were a little on the conservative side. As if the managing executives told everybody involved, "This is America's first taste of MMA on a major network, let's  have some excitement, but not TOO much. " A dangerous, bloody beatdown would have likely made this MMA's ONLY appearance like this.

  9. No.

Just because Kimbo was taking bows in the second round and not defending himself is not cause to stop a fight.  He couldnt fully defend himself because his arms were pinned, not because he was psychologically impaired from the blows.   I think all the stops were premature but it was the first time MMA was exposed to a vast public.  They certainly made the decision to be more conservative in all instances, not just the Kimbo fight.  Calling it fixed is a bit a jump.

  10. No, it wasn't fixed, Ferguson barely escaped with a win, but a legitimate win nontheless. Thompson got rocked and could not defend himself. Had Thompson not gotten the cauliflower ear popped, he probably could have coasted to a solid unanimous win.

  11. It seemed that way. If Thompson's ear hadn't of got busted open, then the judges would have given him the win over kimbo. Come on, let's face it, kimbo is a bad dude, but he has a long way to go before he can be called a mma fighter. Put him up against a undisputed mma fighter, and it's "nite nite kimbo"

  12. i  think they found a way to stop it and they did Kimbo took 19 elbows to the head and could not defend himself and no stopage? a joke another WWE

  13. Yes.

It looked like he tapped while in the guillotine... But if he didn't, he still took an absurd number of punches and elbows without defending himself without getting the fight called.

Also, they called the fight because of a cut TO THE EAR, nowhere near the eyes, there was no reason to call it over that.

    It was definitely a fix.

  14. yea Thompson wouldnt be bought out like Tank and the other guy was so as soon as they could stop it even on a BS call they did.

  15. KIMBO REALLY LOST THIS FIGHT........ WE ALL KNOW THAT IT WAS BS.... THE FIGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED IN THE 2ND ROUND.
