Question:

Did anyone ever see the fans at Richmond throw trash at Kyle Busch & give him the one finger salute?

I've read it happened in a couple different articles, and that was probably why it took so long to go back green at the end resulting in a 10 lap overdrive. But I never seen this happen on tv. Did you?

  1. That's a typical Jr fan for ya'.  I admit it was Busch's fault, but that's pretty low class to throw trash at another driver's car.  So if Jr ever wins a race, would it be okay for the fans who don't like him do the same & throw trash at his car or would the Jr nation call it low class & unsportsmen like. Just curious.  Throwing trash & debris at other driver's car is done by very low class type of people

  2. our richmond fans would never do such a thing, why would be at a car race?

only kidding mate, our australian rules footy team is called richmond, just having a laugh, cheers mate.

  3. They probably did. They don't usually show that on TV. I have been to Richmond. Last time I was there fans were throwing things on the track and fighting in the stands.  That was Jeff Gorden when I was there, so I can imagine what they were throwing and gesturing and saying bout the small plant. Love that track.

  4. Yup, I saw a few beer cans go over the fence and hit the track and nearly half the section was yelling at and giving the one finger salute to  Kyle Busch when he went by, and it wasn't  just Earnhardt fans doing it!  My buddy who was listening to Mark Martin on the scanner said a beer can landed on Mark's windshield and he couldn't see anything.  The answer from pit road was "it was only two laps of racing left, he would be OK."  Mark's answer was "you aren't the one who can't see!"

  5. Funny how the Jr fans always call out Kyle and other drivers as being careless, arrogant, and classless.  Yet the same fans show off how high class they are by showering the track with garbage when things go wrong for Jr.  Here's to "classiest" fans in sports.  Just more hypocrisy from the Jr crowd

  6. i wonder if that basterd made it out of richmond sat.nite alive!i hope not! i seen the fans throw stuff at jeff gordon lots of times before!

  7. Junior fans are known for that kind of behavior.

    Kind of sad.

I understand them being mad but that just makes Nascar fans look like hicks.  Makes me embarrassed to be a Nascar fan.

  8. The funny thing is, is that it's not just the 88 fans that hate kyle........MANY of other fans are baggin on Busch as well.

What I can't understand is why does he egg sh^t on with his comments, and then he whines how no one likes him....lol

From what I've been hearing, Kyle will be lucky to even FINISH the race on Sunday.........and it would serve him right.

  9. HAHA..i was there..and yea where my uncle was setting someone threw a water bottle at him. and yea one finger salutes were ALLLLL OVER..lol..my pap was even giving kyle the salute..so yea and when i got home and watched the race again u could see hands goin in the air at kyle busch!!..haha

  11. They sure never showed any of that on t.v. But, now I understand why it took so long to go back to green flag racing. They had a track to clean up.

I read that article in Yahoo Sports too. Kyle also said that the Jr. fans were "confused" giving him the  "#1 sign" when he was in second. He referred to them as having one too many "Dale Jr. Budweisers", or being "Amped" up. The boy sure is not out to make any friends. If I were him, I wouldn't want to egg on Jr. Nation!! Also, I wonder why he said "Dale Jr. Budweisers" when Bud is not sponsoring Jr. anymore, lol.

Why all the thumbs down, lol? I never said I agreed with Jr. Nation for throwing stuff?!

  12. POOR SPORTSMANSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!! SAD....

  13. There were about 100,000 one finger salutes on Saturday night. I saw people throw stuff which never made it onto the track on turn 3, but later found out the long caution was due to  debris thrown onto the track on turn 2.

  14. If this is true,I would say it was jr fans doing showing their typical behavior. They are like spoiled children having a fit if they don't get there way. I sleep great after jr wrecked himself by turning into busch.

  15. I don't know about seeing it on t.v. , but i was there and h**l yeah there was beer bottles thrown and middle fingers flying. Anyone with Jr stuff on was giving the finger, even in the no drinking family section where I was. It was hilarious. Kinda made my night :)

  16. No, I never saw it either...but it wouldn't surprise me.

Kyle Busch just messed with the wrong group of fans...Jr Nation is ruthless!!!!!

  17. Typical  Jr. fans.

  18. I read that article and laughed.  I never seen the #1 finger salute.  But like someone else said that could have been the reason for the delay in the race.
