Given that Carey would be well practiced in knowing how TV works behind the scenes.

  1. I am not sure if "believable" is a word I would use. This is his perception of the events. It is for the courts to decide on the balance of probability if it happened based on witness and evidence.

I don't think it was for anyone to judge whether he was telling the truth or not - but rather look at it as an insight into what has happened since all this blew up.

It was also worth noting the reaction from his big brother and his sister. They too deserve the recognition.

Its clear that Carey has alot of issues to deal with - but no one should avoid walking to a Supermarket to buy food because feel so embarrassed.

I don't condone binge drinking, drug use or violence.

About the only people he has hurt is himself, friends and family.

  2. nope! hes gotta face, he has to finally grow up and be a bloody man, hes got to start taking responsibility for himself and his actions

also am i the only one who thinks that its a really bad idea for a magazine to give someone $180,000 for their story when they've just admitted to having a alcohol addiction and cocaine problem!

"This guys on drugs, so lets give him 180 grand, that will fix his problems and theres no way he'll spend it on drugs!" LOL

  3. I MISSED IT!!!!  d**n IT!!!

Anyone know where I can watch it ?

    I can't believe I missed it.

  4. Yep ...missed it too- there's some footage and transcripts on the Enough Rope site if anyone is interested.

  5. I, for one, have been feeling sorry for Wayne Carey and all that strife he's been in and how he had to leave his mates at the Kangaroos when news got out re "that party" and the affair with the Captain's wife.  I feel that he was so treated like a God that he began to feel like he could do anything at all and would always get away with it because of protection etc.  Anyway that interview was a bit embarrassing to watch and I didn't actually like the "Mightier than Thou" attitude of Denton - the little man with the stupid hair do interviewing the mighty Adonis and he was like an annoying little Lawyer I thought and I felt judgemental.   Now Carey seemed genuinely depressed and I don't think he was acting but lying mostly - Yes.  Even when that snippet about rocking the fast food van and the bloke inside it was brought up and Carey smirked and I felt he was remembering it and how much fun it was and just a group of blokes being stupid and "having fun".  What I did believe was that he came out of a broken family with a sometimes violent father who drank and it seems poor Wayne might be a chip off the old block (learned behaviour patterns) and re what the American witnesses had to say well if I was Wayne I wouldn't present myself in Florida at all as he'll end up in jail for abusive violet behaviour.  That bit re tipping the wine glass on his girlfriend and mistakenly breaking it into her lip was certainly not believeable was it??  I hope he'll be alright.  He needs anger management counselling which it seems he is getting.  It would have really upset him losing his mates at North Melbourne back then and he was made to be the villain more than the wife of his team-mate.  I wish his former teammates would forgive him.

  6. the cynics would say he is preparing video support for his Miami court troubles, but oddly I think he is trying to get himself straight but just doesn't know how to go about it.

Re the domestic violence aspect: an absolute textbook case of it transferring through generations. perfectly understandable!

the fact that sister and brother were there to support him indicates there is a good deal in it.

Let's see which one it is: remorse or manipulation!

  7. nah i didnt take any of his cra* in

  8. he definently always had someone else to blame

  9. who really carey

  10. I had an encounter with him when he lived in South Australia.

He was drinking (surprisingly) at a bar where we were.  My friend ended up near him when ordering drinks.  Now, none of us are football fans or remotely interested in him.  She said to him "Hi Wayne, how are you enjoying living in Adelaide?' He snapped straight back 'Sorry, I don't talk to fat old chicks' and walked off.

My friend is a size 10 yummy mummy? At the time she was 29.

That is a fairly good example of the size of his head and his ego. There is nothing nice about him. He is not a good person who has simply made mistakes.  He is a giant tosser who got caught doing what he was doing.

I wish him the very, very worst and cannot wait to see him fall properly on his face and never get back up again.

  11. It just seemed like one big long interrogation to me.....I found it pretty hard to watch. I hope he got paid a lot of money for that, it would be horrible to re-live all your past crimes, one by one.

  12. yes he would know how TV works etc but that doesn't mean he then becomes an expert liar.

i thought he seemed quite up front with it all, i think we should all just give it a rest, i don't really care about others private lives, i have never bought new idea type mag in my life, most of it is made up any way, i have enough of my own worries without prying into others lives.

its about time we got back to the footy that is played.

  13. Yeah you would believe a washed up drunk, drug user woman basher. He is a loser and a liar

  14. I was unsure because he clearly described remembering when he pushed a glass in Kate's face and yet he couldn't remember being arrested? Then I thought maybe Kate told him that was what happened so I guess I just don't know. As far as I know Carey has no complaints against him apart from those raised by police officers themselves, and I hate cops so I tend to feel sorry for him.

  15. he is so two-faced

it is so hard to trust him

lol cant believe he said he didnt get any money from the new idea story, what a crock!

  16. i beleive about 90% of what he said

  17. No I wish I had watched  Dirty,s**y,Money instead that show is so much more believable on second thoughts maybe I was.

  18. I watched the first five minutes and turned over to Dirty s**y Money. Carey is an idiot and full of c**p.

  19. I missed it! Too busy watching International Comedy Festival, Nina Conti and Monk were too funny :)

Anyone know where I can watch it.

  20. I didn't watch him, not interested in that man.

  21. I think he did the right thing i believed most of what he said but u can tell his habit hit him hard last nite, but u cant blame him coz his dad use to and still does drink so i wouldnt blame him i would blame his dad
