If so, where? I saw a website www.bestbridalprices.com That has stuff almost too good to be true!! How is it that these websites are able to have the same dresses for drastically lower pricing? And why does it take so long to ship? like 11-13 weeks!! Has anyone ever tried them or another site? Is it trustworthy?

  1. I've heard mixed reviews for bestbridalprices.com.

    The most reputable online bridal gown retailers are http://www.netbride.com (mid-priced dresses) and http://www.pearlsplace.com (for high-end designers) . Other highly reviewed retailers are

    http://www.chrissyobridal.com

    http://www.rkbridal.com

    http://www.jaysbridal.net

    These websites are able to offer reduced prices on the dresses because they're not having to pay a bridal consultant to spend time with you or other overhead costs.  It may take so long to ship because it may depend on if they need to actually order from the desinger to get your gown.  Most gowns are made to order when done through a bridal salon.  Some online sites already have inventory while others wait to order your dress through the designer right when you place your order.

    Good preowned sites for high-end designers:

    http://www.sellyourweddingdress.com

    http://www.scarlettscloset.com

    Be careful with the eBay China dealers.  It's a crapshoot - I've heard of girls having great experiences and some girls having horror stories.  Pay attention to their customer feedback and shipping rates (this is often where they try and s***w you).

    One reputable U.S. eBay dealer is seller yourdreamdress (http://stores.ebay.com/Your-Dream-Dress_... ).  Good luck!

  2. They are being made in China and yes it really does take that long to ship from China.  You have to be careful about the fabric b/c often they are using cheaper fabrics than you would find in a US bridal store.

    My friend ordered hers off EBay from China.  It was great.  They asked for every measurement known to man--around her arms, distance from shoulder to elbow and elbow to wrist.  And as she didn't try to take those measurements herself, it fit perfectly.  It was perfect for her in every way.  And since the labor overseas is so much cheaper, it cost them less to make it.  It was more to ship than the dress itself cost.  However she got a perfect wedding gown for about $230.

    But it really depends on what kind of bride you are.  If the satin is a cheaper quality satin than the dress you tried on (though that dress was $500 more) are you going to be furious or are you just laid back and relaxed?

  3. I actually got my dress at Davids Bridal Online.  It fit perfectly too.  I don't see anything wrong with buying online, as long as you do some research first.

  4. Ive seen www.weddingcorral.com

    they have some awesome prices for dresses.

  5. Do a little research. I looked up Best Bridal Prices online and couldn't find too many complaints, and they were even spoken well of in the UK. With some companies, it takes that long to ship because the dress is a copy, and actually being manufactured in China, and routed to you through a US address in New York. They nail you good on the shipping too.

    I can't say if that's the case with BBP, but I got my dress online from Julius Bridal, and they do do that with many of their gowns. Mine was a discontinued style PC Marys gown. I hope that it is really theirs. It looks like the pictures though;

    Two complaints that I found;

    Note: I ordered a corseted back, lace-up gown, to avoid high alterations costs. It fits perfectly as long as I don't gain too much weight!

  6. I got my wedding dress off of e-bay. I paid a total of 150 bucks. And it fits perfect. And is the perfect color. It has a lot of beading detail, and is a good quality fabric! I love it. Mine was made custom in China. Took about 2 months to ship.Why pay so much for a dress you are going to where once? Splurge on the food or in another part of your wedding! Happy dress shopping!

  7. I bought mine from http://www.therosedress.com, located in California.  I couldn't have been happier with it, or with the service I got from them.  The dress arrived in about 10 days (not weeks) in perfectly-pressed condition.  It was well-made and looked better in person than it did on the website.  The size was true to the measurements (though two sizes larger than my off-the-rack size).  I'm very happy with my $98 dress, and everyone said how "me" it was.

  8. Yes! I purchased my gown online and I LOVE IT....!

    I purchased my "new gown" from www.bridalonlinestore.com the site is absolutely wonderful and their customer service is excellent, I purchased my gown for $289.00 and my slip for another $49.00 ~ rest assure they have everything your going to need for your special day right down to the underwear.....!

    The prices are really really reasonable, of course like with everything else the dresses are made in China but they dont have that 'BIG' markup like Davids Bridal and others....

    I personally tried on several dresses at DB and fell in love with a particular dress but the price was outrageous, bridalonlinestore has the same exact dress for 10 times cheaper alas I was still not able to purchase because the turn around time for delivery would have put it much too close to my wedding date, but none the less I found another lovely dress {style #2073} and I absolutely love it....!

    They have plus sized which is great for me, they also have dresses that are specifically for destination weddings such as beach weddings, they have temple ready dresses formal semi-formal etc. etc. like I said they have everything and their online and phone in customer service department is wonderful the delivery is very very quick as long as the dress is in stock and you have your complete measurements you can get your dress within a week.....! their return policy is pretty liberal as well......!

    Anyway I hope I have helped in some small way, good luck and God Bless....

  9. I ordered from gianinarbridal off of ebay and paid $219 including shipping.

    here are pics from the ad and of my dress when it came in - color differences are due to my camera's flash washing out - - the color in-person is absolutely perfect.
