My wife and I took a well deserved weeks holiday in Menorca last week. We've never been before and were quite looking forward to somewhere different.

When we boarded in Manchester, I looked out of the window and couldn't believe how many pushchairs were being loaded. There must have been about 50 atleast.

I did not think too much of it until we were fully boarded and taxiing off down to the runway and then the din started. Most of the little ones were as good as gold and were interested in what was going on, but there were quite a few who started screeching. We have had kids of our own but we have never had to put up with what was going on that morning of the departure flight. For the most part the screeching was tantrum based. The kids just keep it up until they get what they want and if they don't get it they make everyones life a misery. Now I couldn't care less what the parents have to put up with in their own homes but they should not impose their kids on others.

  1. I'm with you on this one.

  2. Your children never made a sound did they not.  I have a 7 year old child and taken him abroad every year, he has always been good on the flights.  Some children suffer with the pressure in the cabin and it can hurt their ears, it is not the childs fault.  If this happens again, put in headphones and listen to the radio, alternatively use earplugs.
