My wedding was outdoors and as soon as the ceremony was over a storm / torando blew through and dumped everything on the ground and sent the few guests that braved the weather in doors. We didn't get our book signed, we diddnt dance or have the bird seed thrown due too. And it's ok! Don't get me wrong we all thought it was kind of funny.

  1. Sounds like a a fun day!

My ceremony site was taken over by a last minute non-profit group function so we literally got married on a pretty strip of grass next to the street. Someone drove by and screamed out the window "Don't do it!!"

    We did it anyways. :)

Forgot to add that this was at our second ceremony site. Our first one burnt to the ground 2 months prior to the date. Fun.

  2. The day of the wedding was an absolutely perfect day - but the months leading up to it were definitely interesting (and stressful). My dad landed in the hospital, his mom landed in the hopsital, his parents decided to sell their house a month before the wedding, we thought the venue might not be able to hold all the guests, and my dad started abusing prescription drugs again...not fun. But the important thing is that the day turned out wonderful.

I'm sorry to hear that so many things happened on your day - but it sounds like you were still able to enjoy yourself and laugh; that's the important part.

  3. No I did not have an interesting wedding.

I got married in January eight years ago and there was

no blizzard, no snow storm, no one arrived drunk (happened at my friends wedding), no interesting things happened.

  4. location change a week b4 wedding was so ugly but is ucked it up cuz what could i do u know? so i get inside after sweating to a pulp outside and theres no a/c!!! im like r u serious! that was horrible the guest kept getting up to go outside it was so hot! lol im still mad about that!

  5. ha, thats a funny story to tell the kids! Glad it didn't ruin the day for you.

My aunt actually had the opposite problem! The weather was forecast to be terrible - really windy, rainy and storms later on, so they spent lots of money to make sure the wedding wasn't going to be ruined by the rain and had it indoors but then it turned out to be the sunniest day of the year! So everything was fine and nothing was ruined but it was funny we weren't out celebrating in such lovely weather.
