  1. When they just bulldozed in?

That really caught everyone at loss and blurred out there in time.

When no one even aware what is fantasy and reality being caught off guard in time.

    What do you think?

  2. Military analyst Pavel Felgenhauer did.

While Bush saw Putin's wonderful soul, I suppose that McCain who met frequently in Goergia with Saakashvili, certainly isn't surprised since he always said that looking in Putin's eyes he sees only three letters:KGB.

This guy did: http://ceceniasos.ilcannocchiale.it/ - sorry if you won't understand that... ;-)

After all its a natural outcome of things.

  3. When this whole thing started, I said to my friend, "Putin still misses the cold war. This is where this is going"

A week later, Russia was still in Georgia, having already broken one cease fire. I said to him, "This is what I told you, it's going downhill."

Then, a few days later, what do I see, but Russia saying that the US was behind the Georgian attacks on South Ossetia. At that point, I didn't say anything, and did some research instead. What I found was this; Russia has had an exponential military buildup since the beginning of the decade. They have begun large scale wargames and bomber flights, some of which are done with the FULL BLESSING AND EVEN INVOLVEMENT OF CHINA. Russia has also finished the construction of a massive underground bunker, underneath a mountain that consists of material known to help hold off radioactivity. This bunker is the size of Washington D.C.

Am I surprised? No, not even a little bit. I won't be surprised when they eventually start swallowing up other parts of the area, either. Russia has the strength, and the economic leverage to get away with just about anything they want at this point. And as long as we're in Iraq and Afghanistan, (and if the news is any indication, soon to be Iran) we don't have the muscle to bully them out of it, either.

    And they know it.

  4. Everyone knew there was tension.  But who would suspect a country with an army of 20,000 would throw half of it at 900 Russian peacekeepers in a sneak attack?  Who put them up to it?  Or are they suicidal?

  5. look..its a pro russian area. let them do as the want. wouldn't you be mad if georgia bombs you then says..but you are OUR people...

i'm from the caucasus...I understand this region EXTREMELY well...i'll take my understandin of the topic any day.
