Did anyone out there want to be a "Fly-Girl" when they grew up?

Because I did. And tonights opening number to 'So You Think You Can Dance' reminded me of the dream I once had...

YES!!!

I wanted to be right up there with Jennifer Lopez (before she was J-Lo and when she was a brunette)!!!  And dance Rosie's choreography.  Deidre was my all-time favorite Fly Girl (and I think the one who got the most solos).  I would stay up late and watch new episodes of In Living Color with my parents.  And I'd dance around the living room.  Then I'd watch the reruns over and over to try and perfect some of the best Fly Girl moves.  I'd even take them to the studio with me (although my ballet/tap teacher wasn't so impressed!)  They were just so fierce....they looked s**y and looked like they were having fun too.  I miss those days, I miss old school hip hop dance....Sure would be nice if there was a show like that that didn't just have dance as a "reality topic" but just as an actual "portion" of the show!

And yes, I agree with you - SYTYCD reminded me our our beloved fly girls too.
