I watched it, it's my favorite part of the 4th of July!

I was rooting for Takeru Kobayashi as well and I'm an American. I think Joey Chestnut is a true American hero, but I like Kobayashi better. Kobayashi's a god!! but I respect Joey Chestnut :D
