Did anyone see the red lights over Masham on the 8th August?

It was about 11pm on Friday night when at least 50 red lights (maybe balloons) passed over Masham. We thought they might be from Ripon, but when i looked on the internet, i couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what they could be?

I was staying at the old station camp site on the night and saw them did not have a clue what they were,my husband thought they were hot air balloons but I cant find any record of any would love to hear if you find out what they were

I was staying at a camp site near winkley(5 miles from ripon) and saw a formation of 6 red lights with 3 of them grouped together. Thet seemed to float acroass the sky and then dissapear only to re-appear 5 minutes later. there was another bloke looking at them with binoculars??? Anyone know what it was??
