Did anyone see the story on the news...?

Question

about a Texas cop who pulled over a couple speeding down the interstate? They had their dog in the backseat and it was choking. They were rushing to get it to a vet when the cop pulled them over and detained them for 15 min. The cop told them they could just get another one. Needless to say the dog died. What do you think the cop should have done or do you think he did the right thing.

The cop was like

"I don't give a f*** about some stupid dog

Doesn't that make you mad?

I think he should of let them go but followed behind them and sorted somthing out after as they were only trying to help their dog.

i saw this on the news and i was appalled! the driver shouldn't have jumped out of the car like a crazy person but, that cop was abusing his power and was rude and insensitive to make those comments, i couldn't believe it! my dogs are like children to me, i feel so bad for the people.

i seen that cop was a di** he told the couple " you can get another dog" idiot redneck cops always say and do stuid things though. I think he should get suspended and i hope the couple sues the police department

The cop had the right to pull them over for reckless driving, but

that's really sad how the police man handled the situation.

Everyone would be in my car rushing to the animal hospital

if I were the cop.

some people really care about their dogs...

I've known a guy that spent 7k to get cancer removed from his dog, it lived for another 2 years before it died of natural causes.

i reckon the cops should have escorted them there to the vet then nail them for speeding
