I will be traveling on jetblue in two weeks carrying my wedding gown? I have a big wedding gown and I am not sure if it will fit in the overhead. Since jetblue does not have any cabinets, do you think that if the airplane has empty seats that maybe I can lay my dress on the seats? Has anyone traveled onrjetbluewith a wedding gown before|?

  1. I have traveled on a plane to Mexico with a huge wedding gown. There was no seats available but the flight attendants hung it for me by their seats. Call ahead and see what they can do for you.

  2. We carried the gown on with us as well.  The first thing you will need to do is make sure you have a very good bag to put it in.  The store where you bought it should have provided one, but if not use a garment bag or another sturdy bad that completely covers the dress.

We weren't on JetBlue, but the flight attendants were very helpful and hung the dress in the first class cabinet.

Airlines deal with this all the time.  Try calling them and asking what your options are.  Then, when you get to the airport go directly to the gate and ask again what the options are and politely let them know that you are bringing a dress onboard.

To find out if there are empty seats on the plane, go to JetBlue's website and use the seat selector to see how full the plane is.  You may be able to pick a row with an empty seat if it comes to that.
