I didn't know there were codes( predicting things) in the Old Testament. Did you know about it? I think I remember hearing something about it one time...but it's really interesting.

  1. yes

  2. hi denie, no i did not watch it but are you talking about the bible code....i have a photo copied copy of it.......

  3. You can do the same thing with Moby d**k or any other long work of fiction.

  4. There really isn't anything to the Bible Code.  This show is just another in a long line of fluff and nonsense produced by the History Channel.  Did you know that using the computer program the Bible Code guys used you could find just about any phrase you wanted to in the Bible?

Here's an article explaining how they do it:

  5. I did not see the show, but I am guessing you are talking about the Bible Codes from which they get all kinds of crazy predictions. Their big prediction was the assasination of the President of Isreal, and it happened.

What they probably didnt tell you is that they ran the Bible Code algoritm on a copy of Moby d**k and they found not only could they get the same predictions, but they got more accurate information about the particular assassination which made the Bible Code famous.

You can run the Bible Code algoritm on just about any book and get fun results.

  6. Interesting, but very untrue.  A lot of scientists will force codes to be made if they have to; not reading in between the lines, but actually making new lines.

  7. I am skeptical Denie on that one.  I don't think God would have kept anything secret from us because His Word is For Us because He Loves Us.

We watched Sci Fi   Stargate Atlantis yesterday.

One could probably make a code in every book published.
