Question:

Did chickens evolve from dinosaurs??

The evidence seems contradictory, even from evolutionists. There is a strong argument from a variety of fields suggesting birds and dinosaurs shared a common ancestor.

Almost certainly there is a huge gap of 'evidence' from fossils.

In my own mind I can see and make an argument for both sides yet I know which side of the garden I'm sitting.

Just curious as to your thoughts.

  1. I was convinced when I saw "Sue" the T Rex skeleton in the Field Museum in Chicago. It has a wishbone! See link for picture.

  2. My point is this....

If dinosuars evolved into birds, then we would find fossils of the various animals through the evolutionary changes thath would lead us back to the dinosaur anatomy.

Also, we would find the dinosaurs last, being as they died first and (save for tectonic movements, etc) should be buried deeper than the skeletons of the bird-like species.

But we have found disnosaur skeletons relatively quickly, and the absence of these evolutionary changing animals are a bit thin on the ground.

I think it may be true to say they shared a common ancestor, but it does not necessarily suggest that chickens actually evolved from the dinosaurs.

  3. Yes.  The evidence is that birds started evolving from therapod dinosaurs sometime in the Jurassic period.

I have not heard any contradictory evidence from 'evolutionists.'

    Can you elaborate?
