  1. OK there are two things that you can do to stop the calls one is change your number and make it unlisted then they can not get your number or B go to your search engine and type in free stop calling debt letters and then you can copy and paste them to your Microsoft and type in the company name and then certified or fax the letters to the company and the phone calls will stop then you start to get everything in the mail which I just throw away and don't even open it Good Luck.

  2. Nope, I've never had that problem, I pay all my bills online and don't buy anything I don't have the cash for.

  3. yes, this is the answer to the problem from the Federal Trade Commission website

    http://www.ftc.gov/donotcall

This is not about some spam going around telling you that you phone number will go public or something like that ...

I did it and it works! no more annoying calls!

  4. Even better, we're dropping our landline

  5. Defo! but as I have 3 phones, I know which one people will call on, so anything else, I just dont answer! As they say, you can't get blood out of a stone and I am quite happy letting them waste their bill ringing me.. sometimes I lift the handset and just leave it on the side to here them go.. .hello... hello...!

And they won't get my cell phone number, or broadband phone.. as it's not listed...

    Bunch of bullies..

  6. yeah i got caller id so i would know who was calling

  7. Yes and it's easy to stop. Write the collection agency a 'cease and dessist' letter...keep a copy and send it registered mail. Once they receive it they can only contact you by mail. If they call again after receiving it, report them to FTC...they'll be in hot water.

  8. Take some time... order your credit reports and do the research.  If they are past the statue of limitations for your state send them letters to cease and desist their attempts to contact you or at least a limited C&D for correspondence by mail only.

  9. Yup.  I've been there.

  10. Yes.  A few years ago we were in so deep with very little income that we quit answering the phone if we didn't recognize the caller id number.  Since there are telemarketers we still don't answer the phone if we don't recognize the number.

  11. lmao...I don't care how many time you change ur number if it's listed they'll get it. They got mine and  just got a new number.

  12. Caller  ID,  or  when  answer  say you  are  the  Granny or  brother,    get  information like  a  message,  be  polite  and  then  decide  what you can  send  in.  They  want  to  pin you  down  for  a  payment  date,  so  on.  *mamatx

  13. Yes they did...

I signed up for the DO not call Registry and they have since stopped..

  14. Ayyyyyy it's Scootaaa!!! lol

Yes. I am 15 years old and getting "final warnings" for a car that I don't have. And I don't read the San Fran Chronicles! It's just spam to get people to buy products, ect.

On my other phone, these Mexicans kept calling me about "an important business call for Waldo." Hello, if it was that important, why would you be calling since December!?! Clearly Waldo does not have my phone or live in my house!
