  1. Actually "kissing the bricks" physically, no.  That did not happen in 1995.  

    As for "kissing the bricks" in a figurative manner, yes.  Although it would be a year away from the tradition beginning, the term "kissing the bricks" refers to winning the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard.  He was the only driver not to physically do it but is listed as one who figuratively "kissed the bricks" because the meaning of the phrase now means to win the Allstate 400.

Sure did in 1995, the only time I have ever been to  a Nascar race there, (i've been to 12 Indy 500's) it was great I took my 5 crazy cousins from Germany who where here they had a blast, and actually 2 of them are still Nascar fans today and they watch in Germany.. It was great to see Dale Sr win there..But the Brick kissing had not started yet..

  6. Yeah, that one day Rusty Wallace accidentally tripped him, and he fell face-first on the track.  They both had a good laugh about it, and it was the best "Firecracker 400" ever!
