Of course she did. His mom may have abused him but when he left she probably felt kind of bad about it.

probably as you will find, dave pelzer lied about his life in his auto biography, he has caused family problems beond. his story is entirely untrue, he has been abused but not to the extent he says. but by all means read his books as they a truly heart feeling story. please feel for those who actually are being abused
