  1. Early man was forced to migrate for food.  If there was a drought or if there was an insect plague, he had to pick up and move on to where food was not so scarce.

  2. Curiousity, he just wanted to see what was over the next rise and again and again untill one day he got lost.

  3. Man migrated because joe got a better job opportunity picking leaves and wearing bamboo in the other land of many leaves. price wasn't too high, good caves and the wife was nagging for a better place.

  4. i'm sure they eventually ran out of food and we are very curious creatures too

  5. this changes according to the living conditions , both of them are valid....

  6. I think they migrated because they could.  Humans like to explore.  As you move into fresh new territories, hunting and gathering is generally easier.  In addition, as certain groups were successful and growing, they needed to expand their territories.

  7. It was probably environmental.  Changing climates forced people to move for food and warmth and what not.

  8. Man had migrated since the beginning of time ,to gain more land and establish a country for him self

  9. the really early men had to migrate due to lack of resources in their area, but when they realized there was such a thing as power, they migrated by choice to expand their kingdoms for more power, for more business, to influence others, and still for resources. migration for the three G's. Gold, God, Glory. man is naturally power hungry.

  10. Circumstances...food moved migrated, they had to follow they didn't settle until they started farming.

  11. I think it was environmental reasons, Africa became to dry to live, also overpopulation the land couldn't support them so some moved on to better areas or they followed their game like zebras antelope things they ate, same reason most animals move on

  12. I think they wandered around just because they wanted to.  Just like we do today.

  13. Circumstances, like when I migrate to Mc donalds instead or Burger King because Mc donalds had a coupon in the paper this week.

  14. I have seen some really ignorant ideas from supposed scientists.  One actually thought they migrated along the coast and ate all the food behind them.  She actually thought that modern humans could eat all the shellfish and food along the coast and that is how they got to Asia, searching for more seafood.  That would be equivalent to humans spreading north like a wildfire.

Early humans had to travel around as any hunter gatherer does.  They will expand the population and groups will walk to areas that have the most food potential.  That means the populations will not leave territory but expand into new territories.  There are probably occasions where groups have traveled a few hundred miles like when they were forced out by competition from other hominids.   When you talk about tens of thousands of years, the distances traveled don't require any long distance migrations but they probably happened occasionally.  They OBVIOUSLY didn't leave Africa.

  15. ^^^^overpopulation

What do you mean over population?  Look at places like China and S Korea.  Those places are thriving and they are so overpopulated they park and drive on the sidewalks.

It was due to climate changes according to history and I tend to agree with that.  History shows that people once lived in Anarctica but the conditions would prevent normal living there now.
