I think that Zab Judah could have been the greatest welterweight of his era if he would have stayed focused and determined. what do you guys think?

Also do you think that David Tua,Vitali Klitcko, john ruiz and antonio tarver are all HOFers

  1. Zab has speed, a jab, a dangerous left hand and he's a southpaw but he lacks discipline, motivation, focus and most notably a chin.

I think he could have won the Cotto fight (Makes me wonder why everyone wants a Cotto/Mayweather fight) if he wanted to, I just don't think he was in the ring for the fight, perhaps the money to pay his electricity bill. He could have been a great in the morden era and I think he would have suprised Pretty Boy if he had it all because he's a lefty as well.

As for the HOF no hopers you mention in part of your Q, I think none of them have done enough or anything for that matter to be considered.

Tua - What else did he have apart from the screams and hard right? Nada

Vitali - He who wants to be a town mayor, does not get entry into the HOF.

Ruiz - You can't have your but kicked by two Middlewieghts and make it into the HOF.

Tarver - What about Tarver, does beating Roy Jones count as half way there, maybe he makes it but I wouldn't vote him in!

  2. In today's era, yes, I think Zab Judah could have been one of the greatest at welterweight, if he stayed focus and had the smarts. The natural talent and skill was definitly there no doubt, but he didn't utilize that them to its fullest.

Personally, I don't see Tua, Klitschko, Ruiz or Tarver getting into the Hall of Fame.

  3. Zab is like a pretty girl that is a tease she shows you somethings but wont let you touch. When you see Zab you say Wow but he  does lose focus in his fights how else do you explane the two Spinks fights Zab lost the first fight and in the second fight Zab took it to Spinks and clearly out classed him is Zab a HOFer I DON,T THINK SO. As FOR David Tua Vitali Klitcko John Ruiz h**l no what have they done how did David Tua name come up in this group of fighters. As much as I hate John Ruiz as a fighter he was always around the top and he was a hard fighter to beat. Antonio Tarver will get in is he a great fighter no but he has put in enough work to get in. Would I vote him in no?

  4. Could a would a should a, the guy was more worried about his bling and protecting his thug life image more then winning.

The greatest welterweight of this era? No way, too much competition.  Your trying to tell me that in a fight with Mayweather which would have been the biggest fight of his career had he of won and would have meant millions and millions in his next fight, your trying to tell me that he wasn't 100% ffocused and prepared..... that's bullshit... the guy was in great shape. Judah has always made excuses when he loses.

Mayweather beat him, Cotto beat him, and Mosley would have beat him. To ask if he could have been the best Welter of this era after he lost by knockout to Cotto and decision by Mayweather and avoided Mosley and got knocked out by Tszyu.

h**l the guy lost to Cory Spinks!!! even though he did come back and finally catch him after 21 rounds. Then after fighting a few stiffs he lost to Baldomir!!! come on!

Focused or not Focused, determined or not, the guy is a pretty good welterweight, but he lacks the slickness of a Mayweather and the ferocity and power of a Cotto.

Skills is one thing, but having the mental ability to compete at the top level is just as important, the Greats had it, he did not.

It would be won thing if his only loss's came to other great welterweights or A+ caliber fighters, but he didn't he also lost to lesser fighters.

Although I wouldn't call him a bust, he did give some awesome awesome welterweights a good tough fight. But did he do enough to be considered great?? h**l no, he was like a mini Tyson only not as successful.

I dont think any of them would be considered future hall of famers, at least I hope not.

John Ruiz was given his title twice without even fighting for it. His ranking to get the title shot was bought by King. King invested money in Ruiz because he had a big Latin following and king bought him a title or two.

David Tua never really accomplished anything, even with all the crappy titles out there he never managed to win one of them, he lost all his big fights. He offered nothing up against Byrd or Lewis and Ibeabuchi stuck right in there with him and still beat him silly.

Vitali Klitchko...well I dont even know what hes ever done to be considered other then to lose to an out of shape over the hill end of his career Lennox Lennox. He holds some win over marginal contenders like Herbie Hide,Larry Donald and Kirk Johnson (who was grossly over weight) He couldn't put Chris Byrd away when Byrd took a fight with him on a weeks notice.

Tarvers only claim to fame is a win over a weight drained 36 year old Roy Jones Jr who he had already lost to once. And the third fight when Jones showed even a little bit of his old self he flustered Tarver, He may have lost but he showed what a prime Jones could have done to Tarver. Tarvers other claim to fame was being embarassed by Hopkins and staring in a Rocky movie.
