I keep hearing this phrase from people that 'everything changed' after the 9/11 attacks, but how so? What is your perception of the changes that took place in the aftermath of that day? Did the World change that day?

  1. everything did change

i dunno if ur european or wat

but im not pro-iraq wat but eerything did change

it made the world aware wat terrorists are capable of and inspired thousands  to join terrorism

    we declared war

paranoia of sadam hussein caused the iraq war

and the phshycological pressure to join the culture caused thousands of young muslims to join the cause

  2. I think I am a little older than you and the last time I remember something earth shattering like this happening was the assassination of JFK in the 1960's.

I was not around at the time but I suspect the Pearl Harbour attack was pretty big news at the time and changed peoples world view.

Some events are just so momentous and earth shattering that a large part of the worlds population is involved not just America. Changes were feelings of insecurity, stunned and an unstable world.

Things changed in the world but unfortunately not altogether in a good way.

  3. Its hard to say. We will never know how or if it changed the world.

  4. Sure.

    Why not?

    Look in the real world.

How Robin Hood and  Maid Marion with Friar Tuck and his Merry men.

    In Sherwood forest.

Short-changed, conned and deceived little children among the Dirty dozen with self lack of knowledge in broad daylights.

In idol worshiping the dead Mummy of failures and horrors of the past from graveyards of different ghostly ancestor's culture and custom.

As cheap-skate glory and success of National Identity.

As glory and success of past glorious civilization.

In kicking them on the butts as casualty of the dead Mummy in kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.

With rise of idol of graven image " I believe I can fly" and idol of statues all over the land as landmarks in public places.

With rise of "Proud Mary" with self image of standing idol in schools, places of higher learning, at work, at home, in public places and social lives too as tribe of a Rudeness tribe in kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.

Messing up and roughing them up in hitting them on the head with the Book of the Dead.

In getting them all to commit suicide with loss of "Eternal Flame" to keep them burning alight in time with their self lack of knowledge with the Book of the Dead.

In climbing up the coconut trees and still look green with lost sense of direction and purpose of life.

As cheap-skate glory and success of tribe with non-existence rights of original descendant.

Self exposing as tribe of a Rudeness tribe..

In making a monkey out of children in own backyards without being aware of it being expose in time after the mystery of us-911.

  5. there is more blame and hatred towards islam and asians whether they are muslims or not... their is more violance and threats even without the proof... conspiracy theory

  6. Governments of the western  world used 9/11 as an excuse to invade Iraq and create a mass feeling of 'terror'.

If the western powers were going to say they were going to war before any of this happened, there would be a public outcry. They hyped up 'terror' and WMD so much that the 'people' ie, us, would feel so insecure, they would have our backing in doing so. We were made to feel vulnerable.

The world changed after that day, people are pre judged on their faith and clothing.

If a muslim is in an airport, people think why.

If someone has a rucksack on a tube, they are questioned. Just look at hte guy that was shot in the UK because he had a rucksack and rtan from the police - this man was NO terrorist!

The governments have used 9/11 to create fear amongst the people so they can better control us!

  7. I don't think that the world changed, the attitude of many americans definately did. We finally felt victimized in this country. But the hatred  and prejudice was here before then and still here after. We may have changed our view about how safe we are in this country, but I believe we still live in the safest country in the world. Fortunately, the positive showed that even in what many americans feel is an ignorant or rude city, the country and New York stood up to the disaster, and helped. Showing that even those that have an ignorant core was willing to help, financially, physically, prayerfully, or in some other means, others that were in dire need. Americans stood up and supported other Americans. One reason I'm proud of Our Country.

  8. i think islam and muslims are now seen in a negative light and it has made people look at people that are asian and carrying bags think twice about him/her and be very wary of them, tougher security.

it has unfortunately created, in my opinion a backlash of racial tension with those that follow islam as a religion and generally some hatred towards some assumed asians.

    it is all sad!

  9. The Patriot Act, Homeland Security, the airports are a disaster, wiretapping w/o warrants, phone companies must turn over conversations on the govs. whim, paranoia is rampant and the quality of gov, BS has deteriorated terribly. You can't tell the lies from the propaganda; I remember when they tried to make their sad stories believable; now they're just not trying. They even hire these FOX5 fools. Must be the budget.

  10. EVERYTHING did not change that day.  What did change is the public *awareness* of the depths to which human beings can sink - depths that continue to be plumbed by the 'good' guys as well as the bad guys.

In some countries, 9/11 will have demonstrated what it feels like to be on the receiving end of terrorism or 'freedom fighting' or 'liberation' or whatever you choose to call it.  Some of us have past experience of what it feels like to be on the receiving end of 'liberation' financed by people who thought they were at a safe distance.  If 9/11 changed anything, it was to broaden the awareness of what that feels like and the awareness that no one is at a safe distance.

The other guy is always the terrorist (or the sponsor of terrorism) while WE are always the liberators.  But to him, WE are the other guy.  Can we expect him to treat us any differently from the way we treat him?  There is an unwinnable war raging but an achievable peace waiting.

The terrorist acts of 9/11 and the response to them ratcheted up the posturing, making the world a slightly more dangerous place though it has been a dangerous place for most of us for a long time.  The resulting escalation takes us further from peace.

  11. The terrorists have been building up to 9/11 (History Channel 100 Years of Terror), but it really brought it home on 9/11 and it changed me, for one.

I was elated when Bush said he was going after the people that took out the Pentagon and planes and the World Trade Center.  It also made me switch parties, from Dem to Repub.  So I don't know if anyone else changed, but I personally did.

I also think it's not over yet, there will be more terror, I hope not, but I feel that these people will keep it up.

  12. because unfortunatly people in the west dont know the difference between a muslim and a radical muslim, which increased something known to you as Islam-phobia..

as a muslim i get racist feedbacks for just being a muslim, i dont wear an abaya, i dont even attend a friday mosque im 14 yet just the idea is not accepted in the western society
