  1. no, Ford made the Mustang SVo in '84, '85 and '86. They also made a Thunderbird turbo model as well.

Thunderbirds did have turbos in the mid 80's they used the same 2.3 that was also used in the Merkur XR4Ti(read Ford Sierra). Then the 5.0 was added to the T-Bird(automatic only) before the redesign of the SC with the supercharger. That was the next model redesigned T-Bird.

  2. Big A is correct.  Ford did make a lot of Thunderbird Turbo Coupes in the years from 83 to 88 with the same basic engine as the SVO, 2.3 Turbo and they are very popular for conversions in the regular Mustang 4 and also in Ranger pu's.. you can also find the same engine in the Merkur XR4TI and Mercury Cougar XR7

I have to correct SVTcobra, the SC came out in 89 to 95 with the supercharged V6 to replace the earlier Turbo Coupe

  3. i can't find one... however, they did make them for  acouple of years, some of which were faster than the early 5.0's

  4. The Mustang SVO models were 4 cyl turbos, but I do not know what years. As for the T-Birds alluded to by another answerer, they were supercharged V-6's, not turbo, designated by an SC .

  5. The turbo models were called SVO mustangs and thwe tbirds were called turbo coupes. Both were fox body cars from mid 80's to late 80's. To the guy that said it is a sc tbird. Those are newer MN12 chassis cars.
