Maybe Granny thought she was riding a horse and holding the child in the saddle . Granny needs to be checked for  Alzheimers.  It can give you a wild imagination.

Case in point.  My mother was in a hospital bed and recovering from hip surgery.  She asked me if I tasted the blueberry pies she made.  She told me she just made 16 blueberry pies in the kitchen.  I told her they were delicious.
