Did having a baby make your hips wider?

If so, was it permanent? (I'm not referring to getting more fat on the hips. I'm referring to actual widening of the hip bones.)

  1. I have had three boys and nope my hips didn't permanently stay wide..

  2. Mine didn't appear any wider after my first baby, but after my second, they're definitely wider. It's been almost 4 years since I had him, so I'm going to say that it has been a permanent change. Lucky me!

  3. Yes.  Its true for every woman.  Ever single woman that gives birth vaginally will permanently be at least a teeny bit wider than before.  For super lucky women, its very very minimal.  They may not notice at all.  Childbirth DOES permanently separate the hips just a bit more than women who have never given birth though.
