Did he have me for this?

My Dad says "Don't just sit there like a grinnin' ape, help your mother."

I notice that he never does, never has and probably never will.

Well, unfortunately, there's nothing u can do about it except just to get it done.  If you just do it as soon as u can, it won't be that big of a deal.  Every kid has chores to do around the house, but he does need to do his share too.  I'm sorry that ur dad is that way, but there's nothing u can do.  U just have to put up w/ it, and know that u're the better person.

If your father is not going to help your mother and it you don't help her, then who will?

You know your father is not going to help her therefore I think you should.  Your dad may be very tired from working all day.  Be nice to him

he feeds you, clothes you, and buys you everything you have.  Let him alone and let him rest and you go help your mother you might learn something.

Yeah well, Dad's do that sort of thing, your Pop is pretty normal. You will probably do exactly the same 15 years down the line.

Your responsibility is to help your parents.  Been that way since time began.  You know it.  If you fail to help her out of rebellion, spite toward your dad or laziness, are you any different than you perceive him to be?  Do what you know is the right thing.   Good Luck.

some men just think that woman are the ones that do everything around the house and they can order them around i know how it is, its your dad you dont have to listen to him i would just help your mom becuase she is your mom she will thank you later and you will be happier, cause then you can tell your dad why dont you

A lot of dad's think the home place is the womans place and they never lift a hand to help out. The problem lies with your mother for not putting him in his place long before now and putting up with it.

So, you feel as if you should not need to help either because he never lifts a hand to help her? Wrong dear.

No prob not but you should help your mom .Even if your Dad don't have enough respect to ,you should and by telling you to probably makes him feel better about not helping!

OMG my dad does the exact same thing....wow i thought only my dad was anooying...i feel like that to but my mum says that he sees such a grown up girl he dosent like seeing me just watching tv whilst my mum slaves around in the kitchen...well thas what he thinks!
