  1. Yes she played a major role in the war.  She was on the side of the Achaeans and manipulated the gods and the war.  You should check it out, it's a good read.

Hera is the Goddess of Prophecy.  Hera's curse, as it is called, is for one to be able to clearly see the future, and not be believed.  Kassandra of Troy had this curse, she foresaw the outcome of the war, warned of it constantly, and was considered insane for it.  No one believed the walls of Troy could be breached.

  3. Yes, if you remember at one point when the soldiers were inside the trojan horse she went around knocking on the various sides calling out to the soldiers mimicking the voices  of their wives and loved ones, calling them to come out.
