Did horrible on my first driving lesson. Can't make a left turn?

any tip on turning left and end up on the same lane? I will have to take more driving lesson. so sad.

if you can make a right hand turn then you can make a left hand turn..whatever you do when you make the right hand turn just do it for the left hand turn. your just doing it the other way if you try that then it might be easier for you to do it..

its not sad it is good because you need them. it amazes me how kids ask questions like this and still think old people are bad drivers

Step 1:

Move into the left lane. As you approach the intersection where you want to turn left, move into the left lane or left turn lane, if there is one.

Step 2:

Turn on your turn signal. Once established in the left lane, engage your left turn signal. Even in a left turn only lane, the turn signal is required; it alerts the drivers around you of your intentions. Putting on your signal early gives the other drivers time to plan how to get around you.

Step 3:

Enter the intersection. When you have a green light, drive into the intersection slowly, making sure not to encroach on the lane of oncoming traffic. Entering the intersection should give the drivers behind you room to go around if they aren't also turning left.

Step 4:

Wait for a clear path to turn. Patience is crucial to the successful execution of a left turn. Inching further into the intersection while you wait won't clear your path any faster and may create a difficult lane position from which to turn.

Step 5:

Take the initiative when the time is right. Once your path is clear, make your left turn with authority. At this point, your goal is to get out of the middle of the intersection. Move through your turn and establish lane position on the new road as quickly as possible.
